Boys Junior Varsity Baseball, Boys Varsity Baseball · Baseball Clinches Playoff Spot

The Connally Baseball team secured a playoff spot with a 4-2 victory over the Waco University Trojans.  The game started Friday night and Connally was leading 4-2 in the bottom of the 5th when the game had to be postponed due to rain and lightning.  Senior AJ Selvera was rolling on the mound but was unable to continue when the game resumed at 2 p.m. on Saturday.  Another senior, Caleb Justice, took over on the mound and held the Trojans scoreless for 2 innings before senior Jordan Murphy came on to get the final out and secure the win.

Murphy also scored 2 runs while freshman Jeffrey Padavick continued his hot streak with 2 more hits and an RBI.

Connally closes out the regular season with senior night this coming Tuesday at Connally.  Senior recognition will start around 6:40 with first pitch slated for 7:00 against Manor.
